About The Workshop

The workshop aim is to liberate you from your fear of ‘The Great White Canvas,’ and enjoy the journey of creating.
Have you ever wanted to explore yourself and your creativity, but never had the time, space or confidence to do so? Do you wish to break out of painting in the same style? Do you experience blocks when it comes to creating? Are you keen to understand more about yourself? Have you wanted to paint, but felt you lacked the ability?
In this transformational art workshop, we work with expanding and unblocking your creativity, as well as using art as a tool to reach a deeper level of self-awareness. We also examine our approach to creating and the symbolic mirror behind what we create. Being aware of this gives our artistic expression greater depth and meaning.

The workshop is suitable for those who have never explored their artistic potential, as well as being an aid to more experienced artists

About the facilitator, Ann Gadd

Ann Gadd is the author of 19 published books, including How to make an income from your Art – UK published and SA title: Making Your Art Work. She is one of South Africa’ best known artists, (known for her ‘sheep/ewe’ series), having sold thousands of paintings both locally and abroad. She was also a Lifeline counsellor, alternative practitioner and teacher, windsurfed for SA, was a journalist (Natural Health Magazine (current), SA Yachting and Living & Loving), more recently an Enneagram teacher, travel writer (Country Life), with a new passion for photography.
Ann ran these workshops for eight years, for corporates and individuals. Once her art career took off, lacking the time, she stopped teaching. She has missed teaching and so now returns for the first time in 10 years, with renewed passion and greater experience, to journey with you to explore your artistic self.
